DALLAS
(July 14, 2008)
–
London’s Maybourne Hotel Group has signed an
agreement with Pegasus Solutions for
Pegasus’ Global Commission Processing, which
will allow Maybourne’s three distinguished
properties to pay commissions weekly to
agents in their currency and method of
choice.
Maybourne Hotel Group includes the historic
Claridge’s in Mayfair, the recently restored
Connaught in Mayfair Village, and The
Berkeley in Knightsbridge. All three
properties are recognized for their prized
locations, individual personality,
authenticity and intuitive service, which is
a key reason Maybourne signed with Pegasus,
according to Stephen Alden, CEO of Maybourne
Hotel Group.
“Our guests expect exemplary treatment when
they book with Maybourne, but now with
Pegasus we can extend that treatment to
agents,” said Alden. “Travel agents are
largely responsible for helping maintain the
reputation of our properties, so we want to
invest in giving them the best booking
experience possible. That means getting paid
promptly and without hassle.”
Preferred and used by agents worldwide,
Pegasus Commission Processing streamlines
commission payments for hotels and
suppliers, and facilitates collections for
travel agents. Processing more than $500
million in commissions each year, Pegasus
delivers agents regularly scheduled,
consolidated payments in their preferred
currency. In fact, according to Mark S.
Dubrow, president of Pegasus Financial
Services, a 2007 Pegasus survey of agents
showed more than 85 percent would prefer to
book a hotel that pays commissions through
Pegasus than a hotel using another payment
provider.
“We’ve worked to become the
market leader in the commission-payment
space,” said Dubrow. “But to stay there, we
need to continue providing dedicated account
management, service delivery and customer
support for properties like Maybourne to
help these hotels break through to mutually
beneficial agent relations.”
Pegasus provides commission services to more
than 35,000 properties, as well as the
majority of the world’s travel agencies and
travel distributors in more than 200
countries.
