John "Mel" Kemp

Senior Vice President, Operations

Mel Kemp serves as senior vice president of operations for Pegasus Solutions, supervising all data center operations for the company. His team of 70 personnel in the U.S., Europe and Asia manage database administration, system administration, desktop support and information security for the company.

Kemp came to Pegasus in 2005 after serving as chief operations officer for Atlanta-based Neteffect, a telecommunications, data center design, implementation and management company. He also previously served for more than 20 years in a number of executive positions with MCI telecommunications.

Kemp holds a Bachelor of Science in business administration from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia, and has completed executive leadership coursework at Harvard Business School and Stanford University. He is also a certified public accountant. Kemp is based in Pegasus’ Scottsdale, Ariz. office.
